Mark Thompson is the Project Delivery Manager at the Energy Innovation Centre, responsible for identifying energy related innovations that have commercial potential, assessing them, and building and managing technology development projects around them that would appeal to industry partners. He has more than 12 years experience in technology commercialisation and a background in engineering, manufacturing, project management and marketing. He joined the EIC in December 2010.

Angharad Davies is the Commercial Manager for the Energy Innovation Centre and was appointed in October 2009. She is responsible for assessing potential new business ideas and recommending them to private and public sector partners that are interested in investing in the energy sector. Angharad is also responsible directing and supporting the energy businesses to deliver their business plans to achieve investment from potential investment partners and managing and reporting post investment performance of the businesses to investment partners

Angharad is a qualified accountant and prior to joining the Energy Innovation Centre she spent 8 years at Grant Thornton UK LLP.

Denise Massey

With more than 16 years of strategic planning and development experience, Denise heads up the world-class Energy Innovation Centre, taking the lead in assisting individuals and businesses in getting their ideas to commercialisation.

In her career to date, Denise has acquired extensive skills and knowledge in developing new markets in the private sector to deliver outsourced public services. With experience on both a national and international scale, Denise has worked with Eastern European Governments to advise them in the management and development of emerging markets to deliver public services.

Over the last three years, Denise has been instrumental in the launch, development and growth of the Energy Innovation Centre and worked closely with her team to take the Centre from a publically grant funded organisation to a private commercial entity.

‘Denise works closely with organisations such as Ofgem and the Department for Energy and Climate Change. She persistently represents and protects the interests of the innovator and the small business in a variety of national forums.’
